Responsibilities
- Perform Pre-Trip & Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough safety checks of the vehicle to ensure compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations before and after every shift.
- Secure Cargo Efficiently: Load, unload, and secure freight using appropriate equipment to prevent damage and ensure safe transit.
- Adhere to Safety Protocols: Maintain a perfect safety record by following all traffic laws, company policies, and route guidelines.
- Maintain Accurate Logs: Keep detailed records of driving hours (HOS), mileage, and delivery receipts.
- Deliver Exceptional Service: Interact professionally with customers and dock personnel to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Maintain Vehicle Cleanliness: Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure the vehicle remains in top condition.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL License: Current Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License required.
- Driving History: Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Medical Certification: Current DOT medical card (or ability to obtain one).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate clearly with dispatch, management, and customers.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and sit for extended periods during long-haul routes.
