Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) on regional routes within Arizona and neighboring states
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided)
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Manage electronic logging systems (ELD) and required documentation
- Represent Desert Star Transport with professionalism in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Arizona roadways and regional geography
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside troubleshooting
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and occasional overnight trips
