Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on dedicated regional routes (typically 300-500 miles daily)
- Maintain accurate electronic logbooks and delivery documentation
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Manage time-sensitive deliveries within tight schedules
- Participate in ongoing safety training and certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical certification
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging device (ELD) usage
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling (Hazmat endorsement preferred)
- Strong navigation skills with GPS technology
- Physical ability to climb ladders and secure cargo (up to 50 lbs)
