Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes within Illinois and surrounding states
- Maintain meticulous delivery logs and comply with all DOT/FMCSA regulations
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and minor maintenance checks
- Coordinate with dispatch for optimal route planning and on-time deliveries
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of freight with proper documentation
- Represent Prime Transport with professional conduct and customer service excellence
- Participate in ongoing safety training and certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong knowledge of Chicago metro area and Midwest highway systems
- Basic understanding of freight handling and securement procedures
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and work in varying weather conditions
- Must be 21+ years old and possess valid passport for border crossings
