Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently on assigned routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery receipts, and delivery paperwork (BOLs, manifests).
- Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members to resolve issues promptly.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and maintained in accordance with company standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card) and DOT Drug Screen on file.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record with no DUIs or major moving violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and occasional weekends as required.
