Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Safely transport freight to designated delivery locations on schedule.
- Document delivery times, damages, and any incidents accurately in the electronic logbook.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delays.
- Load and secure cargo using straps and chains to prevent shifting.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and truck interior.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A) required.
- Current DOT Medical Card and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and road conditions.
- Ability to lift and maneuver cargo, including moving straps or chains.
- Reliable personal vehicle for occasional local travel to terminals.
- Professional attitude with a focus on customer service.
