Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and security of cargo and equipment.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo protection.
- Maintain accurate logs and electronic records (EOBR) in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Uphold the company's high standards of customer service and professional image.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (depending on vehicle type).
- A clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Physically capable of performing the duties of the job, including lifting and bending.
