Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner on local and regional routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Unload cargo at delivery sites, ensuring accuracy and care for the goods.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) required.
- Current DOT Medical Card and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong physical stamina to load/unload cargo and handle vehicle controls.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
