Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver cargo to designated commercial and residential locations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report maintenance needs.
- Accurately complete daily logbooks and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) reports in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight using proper safety equipment and handle cargo with care.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery issues and confirm schedules.
- Maintain a clean driving record and a professional appearance at all times.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and traffic laws.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements (e.g., Hazmat, Tanker).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is mandatory.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of route planning and navigation systems.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
