Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) following all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing mechanisms.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company policies regarding hours of service and appearance.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements (Class A or B).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Basic English reading and writing skills for map reading and documentation.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
