Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently on local and regional routes throughout Georgia and Florida.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo is secure and protected during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all hours-of-service (HOS) rules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Uphold a professional appearance and represent the company brand at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the required endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, Doubles/Triples preferred but not always required).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred for higher pay brackets.
- Clean driving record with no more than two preventable accidents in the last three years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of Georgia and Florida roadways and traffic laws.
