Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van and refrigerated) across the Midwest region
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Coordinate loading/unloading operations at client facilities
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Represent the company professionally in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical loading/unloading duties
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge preferred
