Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans on designated routes throughout the Bay Area and Northern California.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly and inventory is accurate.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (ELD) and vehicle inspection reports (DVIR).
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe workplace.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical readiness.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of local Oakland and California traffic laws and roadways.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
