Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local and regional deliveries
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Load/unload freight using specialized equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts)
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Optimize routes for timely deliveries while maintaining fuel efficiency
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Familiarity with Bay Area geography and delivery zones
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation software
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
