Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across the Northeast corridor
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance standards
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Secure cargo and ensure proper handling of specialized freight
- Participate in ongoing safety training and performance reviews
Qualifications
- No prior CDL experience required – training provided
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP) or willingness to obtain
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
- Basic math skills for load calculations and delivery verification
- Strong commitment to safety and professionalism
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
