Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) on assigned routes throughout Long Beach and surrounding areas.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring cargo security during transit.
- Update electronic logging devices (ELD) and maintain accurate mileage and delivery records.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Interact professionally with customers and clients at delivery sites.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any vehicle issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Willingness to undergo company-sponsored training for new drivers.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
