Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently throughout the Charlotte metro area and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery times, mileage, and vehicle conditions.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel.
- Uphold a professional image and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Qualifications
- Clean Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Willingness to obtain a valid DOT Medical Card and fingerprinting (if applicable).
- No prior driving experience necessary; we provide paid training for qualified candidates.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to traffic laws.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
