Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers on local and regional routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight and balance guidelines.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record and valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Basic math skills for weight calculations and cargo securement.
