Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to deliver freight on time and within budget.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring safety during handling.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and mileage using electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Represent the company professionally while interacting with the public and clients.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a commercial vehicle across state lines.
- Must possess a clean driving record and a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Willingness to undergo paid CDL training if the license is held but not current.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
