Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B CDL) following DOT regulations and company policies
- Transport goods to designated destinations within Illinois and surrounding states
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and warehouse personnel
- Adapt to varying schedules including overnight routes and weekend shifts
- Uphold strict safety standards and defensive driving practices
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain Class A CDL (paid training provided)
- No prior CDL experience required—entry-level candidates welcome
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
- Basic math skills for load manifests and route planning
- Strong work ethic and reliability with punctual attendance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
