Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) safely and efficiently in local and regional routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (ELD) and delivery records in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
- Keep the truck clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Clean driving record (or the willingness to address any current violations).
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle checks.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends if necessary.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude.
