Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across Louisiana and neighboring states
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation for DOT compliance
- Load/unload cargo securely using proper techniques and equipment
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Participate in ongoing safety training and certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's Permit (CDL permit required)
- No prior CDL experience necessary – we provide full training
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for weight calculations and mileage logs
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Must have clean driving record and valid driver's license
