Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles across NYC metropolitan area
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Deliver freight on time while maintaining excellent customer relations
- Manage loading/unloading procedures with proper equipment handling
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment certifications
Qualifications
- Valid CDL license (Class A preferred) issued in New York State
- No prior driving experience required - training provided
- Clean MVR record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of NYC geography and traffic patterns
- Strong commitment to safety and professionalism
- Ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings
- Valid TWIC card or willingness to obtain
