Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (trucks and trailers) following DOT regulations
- Transport goods efficiently across regional routes
- Complete pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate logbooks
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment handling
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Maintain clean driving record and vehicle appearance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP)
- Ability to pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Basic math skills for weight distribution calculations
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Ability to obtain CDL license within 90 days of hire
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
- Good driving record with no major violations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
