Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Manage delivery documentation and billing paperwork
- Participate in ongoing safety and operational training programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain during training
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for weight calculations and delivery documentation
- Strong commitment to safety and professional conduct
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends
- Physical ability to climb, lift up to 50 lbs, and sit for extended periods
- Willingness to complete paid CDL training program if needed
