Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Commercial Vehicles: Operate a commercial motor vehicle (Class A or B) in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Vehicle Inspections: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working order and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Cargo Handling: Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution is correct and goods are protected from damage during transit.
- Route Planning: Follow designated delivery routes and schedules to ensure on-time arrivals while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of driving time, mileage, and delivery receipts in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintenance: Keep the vehicle clean and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications
- CDL License: Must hold a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or be willing to obtain one through our sponsored training program.
- Driving Record: A clean driving record with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving, etc.) within the past 3-5 years.
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, pass a DOT physical examination, and meet the vision and hearing standards required for operation.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with dispatch and customers.
- Technical Aptitude: Basic computer skills for electronic logging devices (ELD) and paperwork.
