Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) throughout Massachusetts and New England
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while prioritizing safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report issues promptly
- Complete all required paperwork and electronic logging accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Acceptable driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- No prior experience required – training provided
- Basic math skills for weight distribution calculations
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
