Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for long-haul routes across the Southeast
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Coordinate with dispatch to ensure timely deliveries and pickups
- Load/unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Minimize fuel consumption through efficient driving practices
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to work flexible night shifts (10-12 hour shifts)
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling (Hazmat certification preferred)
- Physical ability to handle cargo up to 70 pounds
