Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul and regional routes
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance standards
- Perform pre-trip inspections, documentation, and preventive maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and delivery timelines
- Handle specialized freight requiring temperature control or hazardous materials endorsement
- Maintain electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Washington DC metro-area roadways and regulations
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and time-management abilities
- Willingness to obtain hazmat endorsement if needed
