Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles on local and regional routes during night hours (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using forklifts or manual handling, ensuring security and safety.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and all required DOT documentation.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols to ensure zero accidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and delays.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Willingness to work rotating night shifts and weekends as required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
