Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for local or regional routes during night shifts
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining DOT compliance
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues
- Load/unload freight using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts)
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Collaborate with dispatch team for route optimization
- Represent Swift Transportation with professionalism at all customer sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Basic familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
