Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in strict accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Secure and cover freight properly on flatbed trailers using straps and chains.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and all required documentation.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and delays.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, hours of service, and load handling.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be willing and able to work night shifts and weekends.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic English language proficiency for effective communication.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb on and off the vehicle safely.
