Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) to deliver freight on schedule.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Accurately complete daily logbooks, delivery receipts, and mileage reports.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse personnel regarding route changes and cargo status.
- Ensure the security and integrity of cargo during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the required endorsements (e.g., Hazmat, Tanker).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
