Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or Class B) to deliver goods safely and efficiently on assigned routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment and techniques to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and traffic laws at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Keep the truck and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or Class B) with the proper endorsements.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MVR) and DOT Drug Screen.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and motor vehicle record review.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Willingness to work night shifts (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
