Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Safely load and unload cargo, verifying manifests and securing loads appropriately.
- Maintain the cleanliness and general upkeep of the truck cab and trailer.
- Document mileage, fuel, and expenses accurately using electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and communicate effectively with dispatch.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to ensure the safety of passengers, cargo, and other motorists.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) required.
- Clean driving record (no more than 3 points on driving record).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Must be able to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex routes.
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
