Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently on local and regional night routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying weight and securing loads to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the required endorsements.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) valid for at least 6 months.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (preferably in a regional or local capacity).
- Clean driving record with no DUIs, reckless driving, or at-fault accidents within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Willingness to work rotating night shifts (10pm - 6am).
