Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or Class B) on highways and local routes within New York and surrounding regions.
- Ensure the safe and timely delivery of cargo while adhering to all traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Complete necessary delivery paperwork, logbooks, and electronic logging devices (ELD) accurately.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance and driving record.
- Load and unload cargo safely using proper equipment.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Current Medical Card (DOT compliant).
- Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience (preferred for night shift).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and navigation skills.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the schedule.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
