Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial trucks safely and efficiently on designated night routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying manifests and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Maintain Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records in strict adherence to Hours of Service (HOS) laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Uphold a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the Apex Freight brand.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Availability to work night shifts (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Minimum 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and road safety protocols.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
