Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and heavy equipment safely and efficiently on designated routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo securement.
- Accurately complete daily logs and electronic logging device (ELD) reports.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance while on the road and at the facility.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in good standing.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Willingness to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle cargo straps/chains.
