Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) safely and efficiently on designated routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight and balance regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Navigate using GPS and road maps to ensure timely delivery to Houston-area distribution centers.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse personnel regarding delays or issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Must be willing to work night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or similar).
- Pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in truck driving or logistics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adherence to safety protocols.
