Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for overnight freight delivery across Texas and Southwest regions
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and HOS compliance during night operations
- Load/unload freight with precision using pallet jacks and forklift training
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Navigate complex routes using GPS systems while prioritizing safety
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year OTR or regional driving experience
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Basic forklift certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong knowledge of Texas highway systems and border crossings
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
