Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate commercial trucks safely on local and regional delivery routes, adhering to all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in excellent condition.
- Freight Handling: Secure cargo properly and perform loading and unloading duties efficiently at customer facilities.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs (ELD), delivery receipts, and billing documents in compliance with company policies.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and drivers to ensure satisfaction and resolve any delivery issues.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols to maintain a zero-accident workplace environment.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Record: Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Medical: Pass DOT physical exam and drug screening (Mandatory).
- Availability: Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of cargo securement and DOT compliance regulations.
