Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently on designated night routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing forklifts or manual handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and manage Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records accurately.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route updates, delivery issues, and delays.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state of Ohio.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Willingness and ability to work night shifts (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and DOT regulations.
