Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently on designated routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling as required.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and electronic logging device (ELD) compliance throughout the shift.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse personnel regarding schedule changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Clear driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to work night shifts (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or similar).
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive movements.
