Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles safely and efficiently during night hours.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Navigate Austin, TX routes using GPS and route planning tools to ensure on-time delivery.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (Must have CDL).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of basic mechanical vehicle maintenance.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
