Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks on inter-state routes between Atlanta, GA and Florida.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and secure cargo according to safety regulations and weight limits.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery sites and handle documentation efficiently.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding traffic conditions and delivery updates.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) or DOT medical card.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to work night shifts (typically 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
