Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently on designated routes throughout Texas and surrounding regions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Manage cargo loads securely, ensuring freight is delivered on time and in perfect condition.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records in accordance with FMCSA hours-of-service rules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies to minimize risk and ensure a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo securement procedures.
