Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (trailers, tankers, or flatbeds) on overnight routes
- Pre-trip inspections and documentation compliance (DOT logs, manifests)
- Deliver freight to multiple destinations within strict time windows
- Maintain clean driving record and adhere to all FMCSA regulations
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams
- Resolve route challenges and adapt to changing conditions
- Complete post-trip vehicle maintenance reports
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Night shift availability (6 PM - 6 AM schedule)
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Strong knowledge of Michigan/Ohio/Indiana road networks
- Hazardous materials endorsement preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
