Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) safely and efficiently during overnight shifts
- Transport goods and materials to designated locations in Virginia Beach metropolitan area
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle compliance and safety
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with dispatch team for route optimization and real-time updates
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and HAZMAT handling procedures when applicable
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to work independently overnight shifts (typically 8 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong knowledge of Virginia Beach area and surrounding regions
- Pass federal background check and drug screening requirements
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for minor vehicle repairs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- DOT medical certification and TWIC card preferred
