Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for overnight freight delivery across Georgia and surrounding states
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) compliance
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and forklift training provided
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams during night operations
- Manage paperwork including bills of lading and delivery documentation
- Respond professionally to route adjustments and emergency delivery requests
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and operate loading equipment
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (6 PM - 6 AM) with rotating weekends
- Knowledge of Atlanta metro area and southeastern US highways
- Pass background check and drug screening per DOT regulations
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
